Spring Break 09! - Friday

To finish up our week of fun we went to the HLSR. We all had a blast. The following pictures aren't real, but they where fun to take. Reliant had a booth set up where they took your picture on a green board and photo shopped you into a scene. The kids picked their poses and this is what we got.

Lilly stood in line a long time to be able to sit in a tractor.

Lilly saw a booth where you could make sand art and both kids made one. They did a great job and they turned out really good.

After a little shopping we went outside to the petting zoo.

The big event was Lilly riding the mechanical bull. I told her she was very brave, but she said, "I wasn't brave, I was SCARED!" Evidently she whined the whole time, but we were too far away to hear it. She did great and didn't even fall off.

She looked absolutely petrified the entire time.

Next we went to see an animal follies show. Here are both kids playing with their new "must have" toys waiting for the show to start. After the show a trivia question was asked. Lilly answered the question and won a book "autographed" by the donkey.

Couldn't end the say any other way. Fast asleep with his sand art!

Spring Break 09 was the best yet. We can't wait to see what happens next year!

Spring Break 09! - Thursday

Today was low key. We went to see our cousin Brady's Texas musical at her school. Then we spent the afternoon with Nanna and Big Daddy. The kids both had a great time. tomorrow we are off the the Rodeo and Daddy is coming with us.

Spring Break 09! - Wednesday

This morning we got up bright and early to be at the zoo when the gates opened at 9 am! Everyone was looking forward to seeing all their favorite animals.

It wouldn't be a trip to the zoo without stopping for a photo op in the Bald Eagle nest.

Lilly and Ethan both love climbing in the Prairie Dog tunnels.

On the carousel, Ethan rode a river otter and Lilly chose to sit on the bench behind us.

Trapped in the roots - OH NO!

and...it wouldn't be at great trip unless Ethan falls asleep before we even leave the parking lot - this time snuggling his new Okapi.

Spring Break 09! - Tuesday

Today we went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Ethan wanted to see the dinosaurs.

He had a blast running from exhibit to exhibit.

This was Lilly's favorite - the smiling turtle!

After we went through all the exhibits, we got a snack and went outside to eat.

Ethan loved the big ball with water flowing over it.

Both kids loved the big fountain out front.

Of course, Ethan fell asleep on the way home snuggling his new pet - the dinosaur hatchling.

Spring Break 09! - Monday

Spring break started today. Lilly chose NASA as the destination of choice for the day. Sam took the day off to come with us and we all had a blast. Of course Ethan fell asleep on the way home with this rocket still in hand.
