Fun times at the beach this weekend!

What a week!

Lilly just finished her 1st week of camp. She attended Zoofari camp at the zoo from 9-12 for the full week. She is the 2nd kid from the left on the back row.

Instead of having the hassle of driving back and forth to the zoo twice a day, Ethan and I just hung out while Lilly was at camp.
He loved climbing into the eagle nest.

Ethan developed an incredible bond with the sea lions. Over the week we spent over 3 hours looking at them. Anytime you asked him what animal he wanted to see next he yelled - SEA LIONS!!!

One day we rode the train. The whole time we were riding he sang - chugachugachuga, choo choo!

On Friday I let him play on the splash pad.

Almost everyday we rode the carousel - a different animal each time.

Today I took both kids to Lowes for the Build and Grow project. Today we made helicopters.
Both kids had a blast and are proud of their choppers.

New Braunfels Vacation

4th of July Carnival

Today was the 4th of July Carnival for our neighborhood. It was HOT, HOT, HOT, but still pretty fun.

The firemen were there with their truck and the kids had fun climbing inside.

We also rode the trackless train.

The best part was the kids getting their first taste of rockwall climbing (no one made it very far though).

The Children's Museum

Mom and I took the kids to the Children's Museum today. It was the first time we have gone since they remodeled everything. We all had a great time.

Lilly's favorite thing was connecting pipes for the water to flow through.

Ethan's favorites were all the golf ball activities. He loved dropping the ball and watching it roll and flip around.

Of course we had to stop by the face painting station.

Here they were building block houses then blasting air at them to knock them over like a hurricane was coming through.

Crosby - Lil Wrangler's Rodeo

Today we went to the Crosby Rodeo with our cousin Brady. All the kids participated in the Lil Wranglers Rodeo. Here they all are before we left the house.

Ethan's first event was the goat scramble. Here he is pulling the orange ribbon from the goat's tail.

Ethan's last event was the stick horse race. He was really tired at this point!
The boy in the orange behind him ended up winning the trophy for best boy 0-2.

She held on tight, but still got thrown at the end (and the tip of her thumb got stepped on!) Her score was 74 which placed her in 3rd for this event! Yeah Lilly!
